IFFHS have updated their World Club Rankings, with Manchester City in first place.


IFFHS has released the club world rankings every month since 1991. According to reports, IFFHS’s ranking rules take into account the past 12 months’ intercontinental competitions, national leagues (including play-offs) and the most important national cups (excluding the top 16 games). points).


All countries are divided into four tiers based on their performance in the national leagues - clubs in the highest league are awarded 4 points for a win, 2 points for a draw and 0 points for a loss. Clubs in the second division receive 3 points for a win, 1.5 points for a draw, 0 points for a loss, and so on.


In continental competitions, all clubs receive the same points at all stages regardless of their league results. However, the Champions League and Copa Libertadores have higher points than the Europa League and Copa Sudamericana respectively. The AFC, CAF, CONCACAF and Oceania Football Confederation’s intercontinental competition points distribution system is still low. Competitions across continents are evaluated according to their importance. Competitions organized by FIFA in Africa or continental competitions not recognized by FIFA will not be considered.
